Photo Restoration and Alteration-3

Often the picture we would like to publish contains unwanted elements, which should be removed, like the two men in Zhouzuang, China who stepped into the picture unexpectedly. (May 3, 2001).

One day browsing on the net I found the picture on the left on a home page. The mother's eye are closed!! This was a perfect opportunity for me to fiddle with a picture and using the daughter's eyes I opened her eyes and sent it back to her. She liked it.

These two badly damaged photographs were brought to me to restore them and join them into one. Originally they were black & white then hand tinted. I estimate the age of the pictures about 50 years old. Because the pictures were taken from different distance, the women's head is larger, so I had to scale it down. It took me two hours to complete the work, and the descendants were pleased with it.

This picture tested my ability to restore. I spent countless hours in restoration. Restoring the face was the hardest.
